I think of those words from Isaiah, "For a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders; and he his named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6 How splendid that God chose to be revealed in the person of Jesus! God, in a sense, no longer remains hidden. Perhaps you can take the time to reflect on the meaning of these titles that have been applied to Jesus.
Also, we will have the placing of the chrismons on the tree in the sanctuary during the service. These ornaments recount the life of Christ. They remind us all that Jesus came to be and do.
As an added feature to our worship, we will have the Praise Dancers from St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chicago. They will give an interpretation to the praise music that will be presented.
I hope all is going well in your preparation for Christmas. Each Sunday draws us nearer to the remembrance, once again, of our Lord's birth. God's blessings to you in your preparation.
