Just some thoughts:

What do we see for our goals for Congregational Development? Possible goals we mentioned or talked about:
* to keep homebound members connected.
* to communicate with people living in near proximity to the church, greeting them and inviting them to worship with us.
searching for those in need in our neighborhood and helping to take care of their needs.
provide services or programs for the elderly.

Some thoughts on how we could keep homebound members connected could be:
Mail weekly bulletins to those who wish them. Mail occasional cards from the church for special holidays. (Bev has already done this for Easter.) Each month have all of us sign a Thinking of You card for one of these members and mail it to them. Find out the birthdays of those who are homebound and send them a card from the church on their birthday.

What do you all think?

I love the monthly card and birthday card suggestion to our homebound members.
